Every day, immigrant workers and families in Pennsylvania face barriers that limit their ability to live full, dignified lives—denied access to basic needs like housing, healthcare, and mobility. At MILPA, we fight for the right to drive freely, a fundamental freedom that too many immigrants are denied. Without a driver’s license, they struggle to get to work, open bank accounts, or even pick up their children from school.
Immigrant families are blamed for economic struggles of families across the US, but the real cause lies in the systemic inequalities that pit us against each other. At MILPA, we believe in the power of unity. We are building a network of working-class Pennsylvanians and immigrants, fighting together for mobility, dignity, and justice.

Cada día, los trabajadores y las familias inmigrantes en Pensilvania enfrentan barreras que limitan su capacidad de vivir vidas completas y dignas, siendo privados de necesidades básicas como la vivienda, la atención médica y la movilidad. En MILPA, luchamos por el derecho a conducir libremente, una libertad fundamental que se les niega a demasiados inmigrantes. Sin una licencia de conducir, luchan para llegar al trabajo, abrir cuentas bancarias e incluso recoger a sus hijos de la escuela.
Se culpa a las familias inmigrantes por las dificultades económicas de las familias en todo EE.
